At the next house, Frogwart found the aging but fashionable Schnoodle sisters, Hattie, Mattie, and Bossie. Each was fast asleep with her hair neatly arranged, each snoring in her own special way. Frogwart, with a big grin on her face, fiddled with their hair. She undid and redid. She tied knots and made spikes and arranged the most frightful messes. Then she tiptoed away. As she went from house to house, Frogwart forgot about looking for teeth and concentrated on rearranging hair instead. "I should have been a hairdresser," she laughed. "I'm so gooood!" |
