At the first house, the people whose hair stood on end were staring at each other with their mouths wide open. At the Schnoodle house, Hattie, Mattie and Bossie were in tears. They held boxes of tissues to dry their tears and blow their noses. And so it was with all the other houses. People stared and pointed and fussed and sobbed. The Tooth Fairies were so upset, they all went home and cried. Surely, the Queen would punish them for this terrible incident. She would probably make them move away from Meddybemps the very next day. Frogwart had played a cruel trick on them. |
