- "X marks the spot,"
- said Captain to crew.
- "Dig deep for the gold
- I'll be sharin' with you."
- They dug hole after hole
- but found not a penny.
- The First Mate moaned,
- "I fear there's not any".
- The sad Captain pouted
- and started to cry,
- That's when they heard laughter
- from very nearby.
- There was a knock-knock-knock
- and the words, "Trick or Treat!"
- They peeked over the fence
- and across the street.
