It was just too hot to dig for buried treasure. The Three Pumpkin Pirates decided to sail to someplace cool for a change. They discussed Antartica, which sounded like fun because they would see lots of different kinds of penguins. "Brrrr! Way too cold;" said Slim. "How about Alaska, instead?" "Great idea," said the Captain. "I've always wanted to see the glaciers." "What's a glacier?" asked Tattie Boggle. "It's like a river of ice," replied the Captain. You will see when we sail up close to one. You two buy some food and supplies for the trip. Pack some warm clothes, too! I'll study the maps and plot our course." The next morning they raised Compass Rosie's anchor and set sail for Alaska. |
